ABOUT LiDAR
LiDAR is a remote sensing technology that utilizes laser light to measure distances and create detailed three-dimensional renderings of the target area. It is a crucial technology in various applications, such as surveying, archaeology, forestry, and autonomous vehicles. Lidar systems operate by emitting laser pulses and calculating the time it takes for the laser pulses to return after hitting an object. The sensors use this information to produce accurate and detailed 3D representations of the environment, known as point clouds.
LiDAR technology is employed in mobile platforms like autonomous vehicles, robots, and drones, and as an infrastructure-mounted sensor in Road Side Units and Smart Poles.
